The Midnight Sun Shines Through

Midnight Sun marks Larsson's fifth studio album, following 2024's "Venus. With three singles in, fans have been in high anticipation of the full record for many months now. The time has come, and we're finally nearing its full release, and the singer has also announced a massive headlining trek in support of her new LP. Headed to North America this 2026, she's got a string of shows across major U.S. cities, including this big night in Pittsburgh at Stage AE. 

The singer has shared that Midnight Sun will be exuding energies that take her right back home... to the feelings of Swedish summer nights. Her journey in music was no easy feat, and the pop powerhouse has shared that her heart is full of ambition.

In a conversation with Rolling Stone, Larsson revealed that she's scrapped as many as five albums between "So Good" in 2017 and "Poster Girl" in 2021. She recognized her shortcoming of having a huge gap between her releases. 

"I definitely had that because I felt so pressured of having to have this huge commercial follow up. I must have had five albums in those four years that I was just like, ‘No, no, no, not good enough. Let’s start over.'"

With that in mind, Midnight Sun spent years in the making, and the singer shared that she's written about five songs with the title, searching for the perfect energy that brings her right home. "I wanna be reminded of home and my roots and a Swedish summer night."
