Fall Tour 2025

The Crane Wives are extending their run of live shows through fall - kicking off a huge Fall Tour 2025 in support of their most recent album "Beyond Beyond Beyond". The new set of tour dates follow immense demand for their shows earlier this year which had also extended through summer nights. The band led by Emilee Petersmark, Kate Pillsbury, Dan Rickabus, and Ben Zito are down and ready to keep the fire going, sharing electrifying nights of their indie rock magic. Harmonies that Strike Hearts

The band's iconic harmonies and electrifying beats all started when Emilee Petersmark and Kate Pillsbury both worked at a Chinese restaurant in Michigan. To avoid waiting tables, they began to perform at the restaurant as "The Crane Wives" during weekends, taking inspiration from "The Crane Wife" record by The Decemberists. Later on, they started playing shows around Grand Rapids and invited Ben Zito to join as their bass player.

The Cran Wives soon adapted their signature upbeat sound, notes of folk, and three-part harmonies that made them stand out in Grand Rapids' music scene that's saturated with indie-rock acts. Their music has take influence from various genres, including blues, punk, ska, heavy metal, and folk - creating a unique character.

In 2011, they produced their first full-length CD by themselves, "Safe Ship Harbored". Funded through Kickstarter, the album started gaining massive attention when Colin Meloy of The Decemberists took notice of their LP at an NPR interview. They were later included in various lists that share Michigan acts to listen to and watch out for.

From then on, the band became an unstoppable force in the indie circuit. Their newest album "Beyond Beyond Beyond" proves that their artistry just keeps getting better and better. From a viral moment back in 2020 to amassing tons of new fans over the last few years, these fellas have kept the energy soaring high. Said to serve folk with heavy emotion, it sure is clear why fans are hooked on their head-banging material.
