ABOUT THE BLACK KEYS

The duo from Akron, Ohio has achieved phenomenal success with their genre defying rock music, mixing garage, blues, indie, punk, and more. In 2010, they made their breakthrough with hit single, “Tighten Up,” a single that topped the Mainstream Rock chart and entered the Billboard Hot 100. The single was spawned from the sixth album, Brothers, which sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide, making it their best selling album to date. The follow up effort, El Camino also became a mind blowing global hit and sold over 1.4 million copies. In 2011, The Black Keys received their first Grammy Awards when Brothers won Best Alternative Music Album, while “Tighten Up” won Best Rock Performance by Duo or Group. The band would win three more Grammy Awards with their subsequent works.
