That’s right, Pittsburgh, emo juggernauts Taking Back Sunday is coming to Stage AE on 1 June 2026 with their ‘Summer Tour 2026’ and is bringing longtime friends Bayside along for the ride!

It’s pretty clear that they’re not just getting by like so many other emo has-beens of the noughties - they are on top of the world, and thriving. Need proof? Taking Back Sunday has been hailed as “one of the more visible groups of the early-2000s emo boom”, and ranked on Consequence’s list of The 100 Best Pop Punk Bands. Their most recent album, 2023’s 152 has been described by critics as “a stunning set of songs that truly defies the band’s age, as much as it’s been informed and inspired by all the years in between”, and “a great showcase of what the band used to be, what they are now, and what they could become in the future”. Taking Back Sunday has just announced a monthlong tour of North America alongside longtime friends and fellow emo scene veterans Bayside - the very band they used to perform alongside in the early 2000s in basements and dive bars before they exploded into an international emo phenomenon. The Summer Tour 2026 is slated to kick off in early May 2026 in Tampa, Florida, making stops in Waterloo, Jacksonville, Columbus, Royal Oak, and Prior Lake, among others, before wrapping up in late June 2026 in Madison, Wisconsin. This will be followed by a festival appearance in August at Musikfest.
