Dylan Scott is a country-pop artist and the son of country guitarist Scott Robinson, who played guitar for Freddy Fender, among others. A musical child, Scott decided to pursue music professionally once he reached his late teens. At 17 years old, he recorded a four-song demo with songwriter/producer Charlie Craig, which caught the attention of Curb Records who signed him just before his 19th birthday.
"Makin' This Boy Go Crazy", Scott’s debut single, was released in June 2013 and went on to spend 10 weeks on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. His second single, "Mmm, Mmm, Mmm", was released in July 2014, which preceded Scott’s debut EP, Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy. The EP peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and also launched the single, "Lay It on Me", which came out in late 2014.
"Crazy Over Me" was Scott’s next single and his first to chart on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His fifth single, "My Girl," reached number three on the Hot Country Songs chart and hit number one on the Country Airplay chart, giving him his first chart-topper. The song has been certified platinum in the US.
Scott’s eponymous debut album was released on August 12, 2016. It debuted at number 46 on the Billboard 200 and at number five on the Top Country Albums chart. The album’s second single after "My Girl", "Hooked", was certified gold in the US.
On December 17, 2018, Scott released the single "Nothing to Do Town" from his fourth EP of the same name. In 2019, he released the EP An Old Memory, which contains seven covers of Keith Whitley songs and features a guest appearance from Whitley's widow Lorrie Morgan. Scott’s second studio album is released in August 2022.
