The Used at The Stage AE

It’s just been announced that The Used are headed on a 2024 North American tour with support from Story of the Year and Amira Elfeky. It will all kick off on the 20th of June in Gary, Indiana and conclude in Norfolk, Virginia on the 13th of July. They’re hitting cities like Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Montreal. More importantly though, they’re stopping right here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!

“Stoked to be touring with some of our oldest friends in the industry,” said The Used’s Bert McCracken in a statement. “We’ve always been huge fans of Big Blue Monkey! Can’t wait to see Amira Elfeky live as well!!!”

Story of the Year frontman Dan Marsala also shared his excitement about this tour, saying: “The Used have been big brothers to Story of the Year for over 20 years. They were the one of first bands to take us on tour after we finished Page Avenue and they played a big part in Story of the Year becoming the band we are today. I’ve always admired how The Used were the fearless leaders of our early 2000s scene and I’m so proud of the friendship that we built so many years ago. The Used and Story of the Year… that just sounds right!”

Both The Used and Story of the Year released new albums last year. Namely, the former’s Toxic Positivity and the latter’s Tear Me To Pieces. Both bands have been around for quite some time, both celebrating the 20th anniversaries of both their iconic albums. The Used is celebrating the two decade milestone by performing their 2004 album In Love and Death in full at When We Were Young this year. Meanwhile, Story of the Year reflected on 20 years of their classic debut album Page Avenue last year.
