Greensky Bluegrass at The Stage AE

Greensky Bluegrass is a progressive folk-rock group that mixes different types of musical elements. Critics have described the songs as a “rule-breaking” type of rock and roll, and oddly enough, they are not known for their bluegrass influence (despite the name being Greensky Bluegrass). The band, comprising Dave Bruzza, Paul Hoffman, Michael Bont, Anders Beck, and Mike Devol, emerged in 2000 after performing together in an open mic night. The “jam grass” ensemble that graced amateur nights at the local club became one of North America's most anticipated jam bands.

In 2006, Greensky Bluegrass joined and won the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band competition, in which they returned the following year as the main performer. The band’s relentless touring has also helped them build a massive fanbase that reveres its progressive folk-rock music style. With eleven studio albums, the band delivers its latest masterpiece, Stress Dreams. The highly-regarded 2022 album has been described by critics as “outside the box, evolving, and improvising with surprising results.”
