Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was is Bright Eyes’ first release since their 2011’s, The People’s Key. Three members including Conor Oberst, Nate Walcott and Mike Morgis took almost a 10 years break before they returned to making music. This is also why this tour is much awaited by fans because they had not produced any new music for the past decade. Oberst expressed his excitement on playing music again in front of audiences. Their tour got cancelled last year due to the pandemic restrictions.
Conor Oberst founded Bright Eyes as an American indie rock band in 1995. The band signed a deal with Saddle Creek Records from 1998-2011 and all of their albums were released through Saddle Creek Records. After 2011, the band did not go on any tours or produced any music but they came back with an announcement in 2020 through a recently created Instagram handle. “Persona Non Grata” was released on 24th March, 2020 and it was their first song in 9 years. Their fans were exuberant on hearing that their favorite band was yet and to top it off, they had a tour scheduled as well. If you’re a bright eyes fan, you need to hurry and get your tickets to their concert at Stage AE on 5th April!
